The Jacksonville University Dolphins have improved to 4-1 on the year with a 26-14 win over the Marist College Red Foxes this afternoon at JU's D.B. Milne Field. The Dolphins overcame an early Marist touchdown to tie the game at the half before sealing the victory with at 16-point fourth quarter.
Marist fell to 2-3 on the year with the loss.
Jacksonville's defense held the Red Foxes to just 197 total offensive yards on 62 plays. More specifically, the Dolphins pass defense was stifling, holding Marist to just seven completions on 21 attempts for 86 yards and an interception.
Box Score Hero: In spite of two interceptions, Jacksonville quarterback Kade Bell was able to lead his Dolphins to victory with 210 yards passing and a touchdown. He also rushed for 36 yards. His numbers accounted for two-thirds of Jacksonville's entire offensive output.
