Palm Beach Gardens, FL resident Serena Williams breezed through her fourth-round match against unseeded Andrea Hlavackova without losing a single game at the 2012 U.S. Open on Monday afternoon.
The No. 4 Williams posted eight aces, 31 winners, and just seven unforced errors in steamrolling Hlavackova. Serena moves on to face Serbia's Ana Ivanovic in the quarterfinals.
Venus Williams will join her sister for the pair's third-round doubles match in Arthur Ashe Stadium at 7 p.m. on Monday night. The sisters will take on Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova of Russia.
Top contender Andy Murray will meet Milas Raonic in fourth-round action following the Williams sisters' doubles match at the main court.
Mardy Fish, who grew up in Boca Raton, was set to face No. 1 Roger Federer on Monday, but withdrew due to health reasons.
