Dolphins vs. Cardinals: Game time, TV schedule, injury updates and more

New, 1 comment

The Miami Dolphins are 1-2 and facing the fierce defense of the 3-0 Arizona Cardinals, but if their own defense can shut down Arizona they should be able to stay in contention late into the game.

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Miami Dolphins face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4 of the 2012 NFL Season, looking to bounce back from an overtime loss against the New York Jets that saw an inopportune time-out take away their chance at victory. The Cardinals, to the surprise of many and thanks to their defense, are 3-0.

With rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill under center, strong defenses are not something the Dolphins look forward to. Tannehill has a 58.3 QB Rating through three games, with one touchdown and four interceptions. Running back Reggie Bush has carried the offense with a revitalized energy, but after leaving the game against the Jets with a knee injury his participation against the Cardinals is questionable. Bush did participate in team drills on Friday, but even if he plays it isn't clear how much he'll be able to participate. The Cardinals are currently the second-ranked defense in the league, averaging only 13.3 points allowed per game. If Bush isn't able to carry the load, it could be a long day for the Miami offense.

Arizona's offense is ranked just above Miami's, with Kevin Kolb and company averaging only .5 points per game more. The Dolphins defense is ranked in the top half of the league, and a strong effort should be able to keep Miami in contention late into the game.

Game Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
Odds: Arizona favored by six points
