Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease has publicly apologized after getting caught on camera saying several obscenities during the Gators' season opening win against Bowling Green, according to a report from The Associated Press.
"That's a little bit how I am," Pease said. "I am a typical guy that is competitive. I think everything's going to work. It's nothing personal against kids. I probably got a little potty mouth sometimes, and I apologize for that. I hear it more from my mom afterwards than anybody else."
Pease said he spoke to his mother, who witnessed the tirade, after the game and she offered some advice.
"My mother said to be careful and I need to watch my mouth," Pease said. "I had my mouth washed out with soap when I was like 9. It's not going to happen now."
The No. 24 Gators beat Bowling Green, 27-14, in their opener and face new SEC member Texas A&M in their second outing of the season Saturday.
