2012 BMW Championship: Singh Shoots Out To Second-Round Lead

Vijay Singh fired off four straight birdies Friday and is tied for the lead at the BMW Championship at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind. Singh is at 12-under through 13 holes of his second round Friday and is tied with Ryan Moore at 12-under.

Singh started his round Friday on the back nine at Crooked Stick, and a birdie at No. 18 started a string of four straight birdies on Nos. 18, 1, 2 and 3. He bogeyed his 13th hole of the day to bring him back to the pack.

Rory McIlroy is one stroke back at 11-under.

Dustin Johnson, a resident of Jupiter, Fla., is at 8-under for the tournament and 4-under on Friday's round through 14 holes.

Like Thursday at Crooked Stick, low scores abound. Of the 70 golfers in the field, only 11 are above par for their round Friday. Among them is Winter Park native Matt Kuchar. He shot a 69 on Thursday but is 2-over through 10 holes Friday.
