Vijay Singh has moved into the lead at the 2012 BMW Championship in , shooting 6-under in Round 2 and sitting 13-under overall. Rory McIlroy, Ryan Moore and Tiger Woods are all tied for second place, one stroke behind Singh.
Singh collected seven birdies on the day, only having trouble with a bogey on the fourth hole. Tiger struggled on drives, hitting 13 of 18 greens in regulation, but made up for it with only one miss on putts from within ten feet, to finish 5-under for the round.
McIlroy, who opened the day in the lead, was inconsistent all day. After opening with two birdies, he bogeyed No. 4, birdied No. 5, picked up another bogey on No. 7 and finished the front nine with a beautiful eagle. Three more birdies and two bogeys left him at 4-under for Round 2 and out of the lead.
Aside from Singh and Woods, residents of Ponte Vedra Beach and Jupiter, Fla., Dustin Johnson is the best-placed local in the field, sitting 9-under and tied for ninth. Lake Mary's Zach Johnson isn't far behind at 8-under in 13th, while Jupiter resident Rickie Fowler is 7-under in 22nd and Baghdad's Bubba Watson is 4-under in 44th.
