A big first quarter out of the Nevada Wolf Pack complete with two rushing touchdowns out of quarterback Cody Fajardo has South Florida on its heels, as the Bulls trail by a score of 21-13.
The Wolf Pack rushing attack has totaled 154 yards on the ground through just two quarters. Fajardo and Wolf Pack halfback Stefphon Jefferson have combined for 148 of those yards, with Jefferson receiving a majority of the touches. Fajardo is also 13-of-19 with 152 yards and one passing touchdown through the air.
USF has played effectively on offense, with Bulls quarterback B.J. Daniels totalling 123 yards and a touchdown on nine completed passing attempts. Complementing Daniels are Lindsey Lamar and Demetrius Murray, who have combined for 86 yards and a touchdown out of the USF backfield.
The Bulls' defense has also stepped up their play after giving up Nevada's three first quarter touchdowns, with the subsequent Wolf Pack drives ending in a punt, a fumble and another punt.
