Weather Halts Florida State Versus Savannah State

Inclement weather in Florida has delayed the game between Florida State and Savannah State midway through the second quarter.

The Seminoles are currently leading the Tigers by a score of 48 to 0. The Florida State offense has been nearly unstoppable, totaling 376 yards and zero turnovers with just over 20 minutes of play. Quarterback EJ Manuel has been very efficient for Florida State, going 11-of-13 for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Three of those passes were received by Rodney Smith, whose 77 yards currently leads the Seminoles receiver corps.

Savannah State, on the other hand, has struggled mightily thus far. The Tigers have totalled just 24 total yards, with 18 of those coming on a single rush by Sheldon Barnes. Quarterback Antonio Bostik has completed just two of his 13 passes for a total of nine yards.

The game is scheduled to resume at 8:00 p.m. ET.
