Despite Jameer Nelson's 32 points, the Orlando Magic couldn't complete the comeback against the injury plagued Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, instead falling 96-94 at the Amway Center.
The Bulls dressed just ten players against the Magic and were without two of their starting players in Derrick Rose, who has yet to play this season, but also Joakim Noah. Taj Gibson, though, played well as Noah's replacement in the starting five, scoring 21 points and collecting 11 rebounds.
Nelson starred for the Magic, who did everything he could to get Orlando the win, but his 32 point performance wasn't enough. Nikola Vucevic came off his career game with yet another double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
For the Magic, their recent struggles continued as the loss extended Orlando's losing streak to seven straight games. They will look to snap their skid on Saturday, Jan. 5, when the Magic face the New York Knicks.,
