The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish face off in the culmination of the college football season on Monday, and a survey of expert picks for the BCS Championship game shows a slight lean towards Alabama.
Alabama gets two of the three picks over at Rivals.com. Graham Watson and the collected Yahoo! users see a Tide victory in the works, while Pat Forde thinks the Irish have it. The slate of writers at CBS Sports pick both straight up and against the spread, and when picking a straight winner Alabama gets the edge, four votes to three. Against the spread, Notre Dame plus-9.5 is enough to flip one vote from 'Bama to Notre Dame.
There's also a slate of picks available at One Foot Down, SB Nation's Notre Dame blog. The writers there all predict a Notre Dame victory, but they also all expect it to be a very close game. The line and the picks might be in Alabama's favor, but the Fighting Irish have plenty of fans in their corner.
