According to 247Sports.com's Keith Nieburh, Todd Kelly has picked his top 10 possible landing spots for the 2014 season. On that list, which is in alphabetical order and not a ranking, are the Florida Gators. Along with the Gators are Alabama, Duke, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Southern California, Stanford, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
The defensive back is considered a three-star recruit by Scout.com and is ranked as the No. 18 safety in his class. With another season to play in high school, though, a lot could change, both for good or for the worse. Kelly, who attends Webb School of Knoxville, Tenn. may like to stay in the SEC's general region to stay close to home, but as Nieburth pointed out, Notre Dame, Ohio State and schools as far away as USC and Stanford have caught Kelly's eye.
If he does decide to head to Florida in 2014, the Gators will secure the services of a defensive back that can play at a high level to help contest against some of the best offenses in college football.
