On Sunday, Michael Thompson walked away with his first PGA Tour victory, earning a hefty payday. After shooting a 9-under par at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Thompson took home the grand prize check worth $1.08 million. The four-round Honda Classic concluded on Sunday with Thompson two strokes better than second place (Geoff Ogilvy).

The tournament began on Thursday, as 43 groups of three teed off with the hopes of getting a piece of the $6,000,000 purse. Of the top names, Keegan Bradley, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood all took home six figures from Champion Course.
However, two of the more well-knowns, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, had less than stellar exits from this weekend's tournament. Woods left with an uninspiring 4-over par (74), while McIlroy just...left. Neither one showed up in one of the biggest annual golf tournaments.
