Great Start, But Bleeding Continues

UCF is off to a 2-0 start in Conference USA play, but with two wins has come the loss of two of its bench players.

Over the weekend, it was announced that backup point guard Jeff Jordan was leaving the team due to personal reasons. Today, UCF announced that reserve center/forward Dwight McCombs has been removed from the team for a violation of university policy and will not compete for the rest of his senior season.

McCombs provided valuable minutes behind Josh Crittle who has had a propensity to pick up fouls in bunches at times this season. UCF’s active roster is now down to just 11 players including three freshman and a walk-on. Of that group, Kasey Wilson and Rod Days have seen decent action. Wayne Martin has played a handful of minutes around a state of ineligibility of his own while walk-on Bobby Horodyski has seen but two appearances all season.
