The UCF Knights will look for their third consecutive victory Wednesday, as they host the Marshall Thundering Herd in a Conference USA men's basketball contest (7 p.m. on Bright House Sports Network) at the UCF Arena. UCF (17-6, 6-3 C-USA) is trying to chance down Southern Mississippi, Tulsa and Memphis for first place in the league, while the Thundering Herd (14-9, 5-4) has dropped five of their last six games.

On Saturday, the Knights downed the SMU Mustangs, 59-52, for their second straight victory. UCF was paced by junior guard Marcus Jordan, who tallied 17 points and leads the team in scoring with 15.5 points per game. Junior forward Keith Clanton is second-best in scoring with 15.1 ppg and tops in rebounding with 9.1 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, Marshall is reeling and needs a bounce-back victory to help build some momentum for an NCAA Tournament run.

On Saturday, The Herd last at Tulsa, 79-70, and has earn only one victory in the league in almost a month.

DeAndre Kane leads Marshal with 16.2 points per game, while senior guard Damier Pitts is second-best with 13.4 ppg and the team's best passer 4.5 assists per game.
