Missouri Vs. UCF Preview: Knights Look To Improve To 3-1

The UCF Knights will host the Missouri Tigers on Saturday as they look to improve to 3-1 on the year.

Presswire

The UCF Knights were not in action this past weekend, but they'll look to build on their most recent victory over FIU when they host the Missouri Tigers on Saturday. The Tigers will head to BH Networks Stadium after being beaten, 31-10, by South Carolina over the weekend.

The Knights' offense has been solid, as their 35 points per game average has them currently ranked 37th in the nation in scoring. Much of that came in their 56-14 Week 1 victory over Akron though, and the Missouri defense is sure to provide a tougher test for the Knights' offense.

The Tigers have had a bit of a rough start to their SEC season, having dropped both of their first two games to conference opponents. Both losses are to teams currently ranked in the top six, as Georgia is currently ranked fifth and South Carolina is sixth. The Knights will need to contain Kendial Lawrence if they want to become the first unranked team to defeat Missouri, the senior tailback is averaging 6.5 yards per carry this season.

The game is scheduled to kickoff at noon ET on Saturday. Central Florida are the early 3-point favorites.
