The Central Florida Knights take a big step up in competition for Week 2, moving on from their 56-14 victory over the Akron Zips to face the No. 14 Ohio St. Buckeyes. They'll look again to their defense, which recovered three fumbles and intercepted a pass in Week 1.
They'll need their defense against an OSU offense that racked up 538 yards in Week 1. UCF was no slouch on the offensive side of the ball, with quarterback Blake Bortles completing 81.2 percent of his passes for 168 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Latavius Murray and Cedric Thompson led the team on the ground, gaining 108 and 44 yards, respectively, with one touchdown each.
Both teams are under NCAA sanctions and are ineligible for the postseason, but there's always pride on the line for athletes looking to make their mark. The Buckeyes should provide a formidable test for the Knights on both sides of the ball.
Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Point spread: Ohio State favored by 18 points
