ESPN's College GameDay is headed to Gainesville, Fla. this Saturday for the South Carolina-Florida matchup of a pair of SEC Eastern Division opponents. For nearly 20 years GameDay has been traveling to different campuses for what could be considered the top game of the weekend.
That could certainly be South Carolina (6-1, 4-1 SEC) and Florida (6-0, 5-0) on Saturday. These are two of the nation's top teams, but they are battling within one division of arguably the best league in college football.
This will be the 35th time Florida appears on GameDay, which is more than any other school. It will also mark the 12th time the Gators host GameDay, which is second to only Ohio State. Florida is 7-4 in the 11 previous GameDay matchups.
GameDay is hosted by Chris Fowler and features Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack.
