Even after another wild week of college football, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oregon Ducks remain atop the AP Poll Top 25 as the two teams find a way to survive another week. While those two teams seem to have a strangle hold for the No. 1 and No. 2, it was Florida and Notre Dame making the most noise as the two teams found a way to move up in the rankings.
After taking business against Vanderbilt, then No. 4 ranked Florida climbed the Top 25 poll after South Carolina fell. Meanwhile, Florida State recovered at home against Boston College in their best effort to put the devastating upset the week prior behind them.
Elsewhere of note, No. 9 ranked LSU of the SEC moved from No. 9 to No. 6 after beating South Carolina at Tiger Stadium. Also, Notre Dame held on to beat Stanford and benefited in the rankings by landing a top five spot.
