South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore has a hip injury and did not practice with the team on Wednesday. Lattimore suffered the injury against LSU last weekend and carried the ball just three times during the second half of that game.

Lattimore, who missed the 2011 season because of a knee injury, leads the Gamecocks with 584 yards rushing on 129 carries, and he has scored 10 touchdowns. He also leads the team in receptions with 22. Only three SEC players have more rushing yardage this season.

If Lattimore is unable to play against the Gators this weekend, reserves Kenny Miles and Mike Davis would handle the running back duties, according to head coach Steve Spurrier. Miles has 27 carries for 100 yards and a score this season; Davis has carried the ball 13 times for 117 yards. The team's second-leading rusher is quarterback Connor Shaw, who has picked up 280 yards on the ground this year.
