After knocking off then-No. 8 South Carolina on Saturday, the Florida Gators moved up one spot in the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll and are now No. 3.
The 7-0 Gators jumped ahead of Kansas State who is also 7-0. Florida received three more points than Kansas State, collecting 1,329 points this week. That is up from the 1,297 points they received a week ago. The Gators also cut into Oregon's lead for the No. 2 spot. Florida trails the Ducks by 74 points this week after trailing by 117 last week.
Florida is one of seven SEC teams ranked in the top 25 including one of three ranked in the top six. Alabama is once again No. 1 in the poll while LSU checks in as the highest-rated one-loss team at No. 6. Florida's upcoming opponent, Georgia, moved up one spot and is now No. 11.
The Florida State Seminoles are also in the top 10 as they moved up one spot this week. FSU moved up with South Carolina falling from No. 8 to No. 16. The Seminoles are one of two ACC teams ranked this week with Clemson checking in at No. 13.
