The Florida State Seminoles' road to the Orange Bowl is clear — beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC Championship Game, and the berth in the New Year's Day bowl is theirs to claim. And according to SB Nation's latest slate of projected bowls, that's exactly what the Seminoles faithful should be planning for, as Florida State is projected to land there on Jan. 1.
The Seminoles are projected to play the Northern Illinois Huskies in the BCS bowl, as Jason Kirk is convinced that NIU will top Kent State in the MAC Championship Game and make up the ground the Huskies need to claim a top-16 spot in the final BCS rankings, the mark they must meet to bust the BCS.
The Florida Gators are projected to land in the Sugar Bowl to take on the Louisville Cardinals, the projected Big East champions, according to the slate of projections. The Gators would be BCS bound despite not playing for the SEC title.
From the C-USA, the UCF Knights are projected to take on the Bowling Green Falcons in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl.
