Willie Bailey's time at Florida is over before he even played a snap.
The freshman cornerback and recruit out of Hallandale High School told head coach Will Muschamp on Monday that he will be transferring from Florida.
"Willie Bailey has decided to transfer," Muschamp told the Gainesville Sun. "He and I met last week and he felt like he wanted to move on and we'll support him in that."
Bailey, a 6'2, 175-pound defensive back, red-shirted his freshman year. He had originally been committed to the University of Miami before deciding to head to Florida. With all six of Florida's cornerbacks returning, as well as five-star recruit Vernon Hargreaves III, playing time likely would've been tough to come by for Bailey.
A three-star recruit from Hallandale, Bailey also had offers from South Florida and North Carolina. In 2011, Bailey had 81 tackles and two interceptions for Hallandale. There was no immediate word on which school Bailey would be attending next.
