Senior forward Erik Murphy has not practiced with the Florida Gators since suffering a hip pointer on Nov. 29 against Marquette, and is in danger of missing the Gators' upcoming game against the Florida St. Seminoles on Wednesday. If Murphy can't play, it means head coach Billy Donovan will have to shuffle the Gators' lineup yet again after he made Patric Young come off the bench against Marquette.
Murphy is second on the team in scoring, putting up 12.3 points per game, as well as 4.2 rebounds per game. If he can't play against Florida State, the Gators may shift to a three-guard lineup featuring Young and Will Yeguete in the front court, and Kenny Boynton, Scottie Wilbekin, and Mike Rosario in the backcourt.
The Gators have opened the season with six straight wins, but their trip to Tallahassee to play the Seminoles will be their first game away from Gainesville all season.
