Florida Gators defensive back Marcus Roberson was arrested for underage alcohol possession--a misdemeanor--in September, reports Rachel George of the Orlando Sentinel. The 19-year-old Ft. Lauderdale native was found with a bottle of Four Loko in a dormitory parking lot on the University of Florida campus. Huntley Johnson, Roberson's attorney, pleaded not guilty on his client's behalf.
↵↵As Andy Hutchins of Alligator Army points out, Roberson is unlikely to face further disciplinary action from the team, as the incident took place a month ago. In fact, Frankie Hammond Jr., another Gator recently cited for an alcohol-related offense, served as a team captain three days after Roberson's initial arrest.
↵↵Additionally, he notes Roberson's choice of beverage "means he is probably not completely acculturated to drinking alcohol that isn't neon-colored as of yet." Four Loko is a malted, caffeinated, carbonated, flavored alcoholic beverage.
↵↵In his freshman season with the Gators, Roberson has 18 tackles (13 solo). Rivals.com ranked him the No. 2 cornerback in his recruiting class, according to the Gators' official website.
