The Sagarin rankings are usually the first to appear after a Saturday of fall football, and Week 6 has just hit the web. Much remains unchanged at the top, but Florida's 41-11 loss to LSU understandably dropped the Gators in the rankings.
The Alabama, LSU Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners are the top tier of schools in Sagarin's rankings, and there is a noticeable drop between those three tams and even fourth ranked Boise State. Which, frankly, should not surprise anyone as those three teams have simply been dominant to start the season.
The Florida Gators of course have lost to two of those teams, which is perhaps why they fall to only 12th in the rankings despite having two losses. The blowout nature of Saturday's loss to LSU in particular will most likely cause human voters to drop Florida below the 12th slot.
In total, the SEC has seven team's in Sagarin's Top 25: Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and Auburn.
