NCAA Basketball Round Two Preview: Florida State Vs. Texas A&M

In a little less than an hour, the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles face off against the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies in a second round battle in the NCAA Tournament. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM and will be televised on TBS.

Both the Seminoles and Aggies have strong defenses and are prone to struggling on offense, but the game may hinge upon the performance of Chris Singleton – Florida State’s star player that has been out since February with a fractured foot. Singleton is the Seminoles’ leading scorer and rebounder, and according to the Dallas Morning News, he practiced this morning and is expected to play today. Singleton would obviously be a large boost to the Seminoles’ offense.

Despite being a lower seeded team, Florida State is actually favored going into today’s game, given a 56% chance of winning today according to Nate Silver. If the Seminoles were to win, it would be their school’s first victory in the NCAA tournament in 13 years.

We will be updating this thread with news as the game progresses, so check back for more.
