Rocky Topped: Gators Control Tennessee 33-23

Chris Rainey reigned supreme as his Gators took an early big lead on their rival Tennessee and secured a 33-23 win.

The victory was head coach Will Muschamp’s first in the SEC and improved the 16th ranked Gators to 3-0 (1-0) on the season.

Chris Rainey was unbelievable, rushing for 108 yds, receiving 104 yds, scoring an 83 yard receiving touchdown and blocking a punt.

Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray had hot-and-cold outing, completing 26 of 48 for 288 yds, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Bray narrowly escaped at least four other interceptions as Florida’s defensive players kept dropping potential picks.

The Gators got off to a slow start in the red zone as well, settling for three field goals and one touchdown to build a 16-0 lead.
