Florida Gators defensive tackle Leon Orr is facing a charges of marijuana possession, reports Rachel George of the Orlando Sentinel. The charges are misdemeanors for "possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia." A search of Orr's room on Jan. 10 yielded a "baggy of a green leafy substance, a glass pipe and rolling papers." The New Port Richey native is due in court Feb. 8.
As George notes, Orr's arrest is the ninth one known for a Florida player since the university hired coach Will Muschamp in Jan. 2011, and the sixth for marijuana possession. A UF spokesman told George, "Coach Muschamp is aware of the incident and he handled the matter."
Orr tallied 10 tackles (four solo) and one sack in his sophomore season; he redshirted as a freshman.
