The No. 14 Florida Gators (15-4, 3-1 SEC) continued their winning ways Saturday, knocking off the LSU Tigers (12-7, 2-3) at home 76-64. The victory extended the Gators' home winning streak to 16 games.
A balanced scoring attack, and tremendous shooting inside the three point line, led Florida to victory. Five Gators scored in double figures, led by Erik Murphy's 15 points. Erving Walker chipped in 12 points, and Kenny Boynton, Bradley Beal and Mike Rosario each had 11 points apiece.
Florida was just seven of 21 from three point range, but countered that by making 20 of 27 shots from inside the arc, a stellar 74 percent shooting percentage.
LSU was led by Justin Hamilton, who scored a career-high 27 points and graded eight rebounds. The Tigers' seven footer made 13 of his 22 shots - his teammates made only 15 of 41 shots for the game.
