The Florida Gators entered the game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs hoping to pick up their seventeenth straight win in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center and are halfway to that goal. At halftime, the Gators hold a three point lead over the Bulldogs behind Erik Murphy's 11 points and three rebounds in the first half of play. Florida also got seven points from Bradley Beal, but Erving Walker and Kenny Boynton have combined for just two points in the first half.
For the Bulldogs, Brian Bryant leads the way with just eight points and two rebounds. Meanwhile, Arnett Moultrie has six points to go with his six rebounds, as Mississippi State has out rebounded the Gators in the first half 17-13. If the Bulldogs want to get back into the game, they'll have to continue to hold down Boynton and Walker while Florida hopes to get them going in the second half.
