The Florida Gators (12-3) travel to Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville,Tennessee on Saturday morning, looking for their first road win of the season when they take on the Tennessee Volunteers (7-7) in both team's conference opener. Florida has won its last four contests against Tennessee.
The Gators are fifth in the country in scoring, averaging 85.4 points per game. Florida is also the nation's leading three point shooting team, having knocked down 169 so far on the season, including a season high 15 (on 27 attempts) against UAB on Tuesday night.
Florida, though, is a different team on the road so far this year. The Gators average just 75 points per game, and commit 18 turnovers a game, 9 more turnovers than they commit at home.
Tennessee, the lone SEC team without a winning record, saw a modest four-game winning streak come to an end Wednesday night in a 69-51 loss to Memphis. The Volunteers shot a woeful 36.2 percent from the floor, and the 51 points were their lowest total of the season.
