Nelson Agholor Commits To USC Over Florida, Florida State

Nelson Agholor, a consensus 5-Star recruit, has committed to USC, announcing the news on television on National Signing Day 2012. Agholor, who played for tiny Berkeley Prep in Tampa, chose the USC Trojans over Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma, the four other finalists for his services.

"It's been very difficult. With the right people around me, I feel like I've made a good decision," Agholor said in the televised announcement on ESPNU.

Agholor had zeroed in on USC on National Signing Day after also considering home state schools Florida and Florida State. Agholor stated that he wanted to play alongside the potent USC offense and attempt to start his college career as a wide receiver. He noted the allure of catching passes from a Heisman candidate in Matt Barkley.

Agholor was the third-highest wide receiver in the Rivals rankings, trailing only Dorial Green-Beckham and Stefon Diggs. He joins a USC squad that is primed to be a major threat in the Pac-12 next season.
