2012 Florida Gators Football Recruiting: Will Muschamp Gets Strong First Class In Gainesville

Will Muschamp was facing a lot of pressure from the Florida fans after a very average first year in Gainesville, but his first full recruiting class should to a lot to ease the fears of anyone who wasn't thrilled about the early returns on his hire.

Florida rode a strong National Signing Day, including a couple key steals from in-state rivals, to what appears to be a consensus top-five class. Scout.com has them right at the ceiling of that distinction, giving them the No. 5 class overall. Rivals feels a little bit stronger about their class, and puts them in at No. 3 overall. The biggest bump they got on National Signing Day was from the flip of five-star defensive end Dante Fowler, who had originally committed to Florida State.
