The newest addition of the college basketball rankings was released Monday, and the Florida Gators moved up to No. 7 in the nation in the Associated Press Poll and No. 8 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll. The Gators (19-4) earned two victories last week and moved from No. 11 and 12, respectively.
The Florida St. Seminoles also jumped up the rankings moving to No. 15 and 17 after last week being No. 21 and 24. The Seminoles (16-6) beat both Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Virginia Cavaliers, respectability.
Despite knocking of No. 10/9 Duke Blue Devils, 78-74, Sunday, the Miami Hurricanes (14-7) did not earn any votes in either poll. The case was the same for the South Florida Bulls.
Meanwhile, the top six was the same in both poll, as the Kentucky Wildcats were ranked No. 1 followed by the Syracuse Orange, Ohio State Buckeyes, Missouri Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels and Baylor Bears.
