The Florida Gators earned a No. 7 seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament and found themselves in the West sectional of the NCAA Tournament. In the first round, the Gators will take on No. 10 seed Virginia. If the Gators can beat the Cavaliers they'll face off against the winner of No. 2 Missouri and No. 15 Norfolk St.
After a successful regular season, the Florida Gators have landed the 7 seed in the West region for this year's NCAA Tournament, as the selection committee announced on Sunday. The West region should pose numerous challenges for a talented Florida team. In the first round of the tournament, the Gators will be facing 10-seeded Virginia, with the winner moving on to face No. 2-seeded Missouri or No. 15-seeded Norfolk State in the second round.
If the Gators have some success early in the tournament, they could eventually face the likes of Louisville, Marquette, Memphis or Michigan State in later rounds.
