2012 March Madness Snubs: Miami Hurricanes Had Multiple Opportunities To Make NCAA Field

This has been one of the least controversial fields in NCAA Tournament history, but that still doesn't remove the sting of the Miami hurricanes not making it into the field. But truth be told, the Hurricanes had plenty of chances to make their case, and their exclusion from the tournament is pretty justified.

The Hurricanes failed to win 20 games this season, and they could not have been good for the committee, but their 9-7 ACC record, including a win at Duke was pretty impressive. The nail in their coffin might have been two losses to North Carolina State however. The Wolf Pack were on the bubble as well, and the committee only took one of those lower level ACC teams. Those two losses appear to have sealed their fate.
