The Florida Gators blew a late lead in their SEC quarterfinals game against Kentucky. A win would have dramatically improved their chances for an invitation to the Women's NCAA Tournament. They find out on Monday night whether or not they will receive an invitation to the tournament.
The Gators are not the only Florida team that will be featured in the Women's NCAA Tournament this year. Florida Gulf Coast University will receive a bid after winning the Atlantic Sun Conference with a win over Stetson University on March 3.
ESPN's most recent bracketology predictions foresee an eighth seed in the Kingston regional for the Gators. Per that prediction, they would play Virginia.
The FGCU Eagles get the 12th seed in the Fresno regional in the same bracketology prediction from ESPN.
The Women's NCAA Tournament selection show will air Monday night at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.
