The Kentucky Wildcats were able to hold off a surging Florida Gator squad to pick up a - victory and secure an undefeated SEC record for the 2011-2012 season.
The Gators had the momentum early in the half, as they were able to cut down the once 18-point Wildcat lead down to 46-44 with 16:25 remaining in the game with a Patric Young dunk.
Kentucky would get control of the game soon after, and pull away with an impressive final 15 minutes of play.
Anthony Davis finished with a stellar game for Kentucky, scoring 22 points while pulling down 12 rebounds making six blocks. Terrence Jones was also key, scoring 19 points of his own.
Florida was led by Young who scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds. He was not able to get enough help from his teammates, especially from behind the arc. The Gators shot just 6-for-22 from three.
