The Florida Gators had their spring game on Saturday and everyone was curious to see how the Gators offense would look under new offensive coordinator Brent Pease. As far as the game goes, the Blue team hung on to best the Orange team 21-14. The Blue team typically consists of the majority of Florida's starters, while the Orange team consists of mostly second-stringers and backups.
Everyone was focused on the performance of the two Gators quarterbacks, Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett. Driskel completed 10-of-11 passes for 133 yards on the Blue team while Brissett was 8-of-11 for 149 yards and two touchdowns with the Orange team and just 1-for-5 for 52 yards with the Blue team.
Trey Burton also had a pair of 30+ yard receptions, including a touchdown. The offense was noticeably different overall than last season's, showing off some read-option looks and lots of motion pre-snap, similar to things new Gators offensive coordinator Brent Pease did at Boise State.
