Florida Gators head football coach Will Muschamp announced Wednesday morning at SEC Media Days that troubled tight end A.C. Leonard will transfer. The coach described it as a mutual decision following Leonard's high-profile arrest on domestic violence charges.

Leonard was arrested in February, officially charged with misdemeanor battery. He was suspended from team activities after that, but was reinstated without missing much time. Now his time with the Gators is over.

Last season, tight ends were mostly lost in the Florida offense. Leonard finished second among tight ends with just eight catches for 99 yards. Jordan Reed led the team's tight ends. Gerald Christian would have been in line for some work, but also transferred.

All SEC Media Day activity can be seen as it will be broadcast on ESPN3.com, shown on TV on ESPNU and broadcast live on Youtube here.
