The University of Florida have landed a massive recruit, bringing in one of the best cornerback prospects in the country. Vernon Hargreaves, a consensus five-star recruit who is considered by many to be the best corner in the country, announced his commitment to the Florida Gators via twitter on Thursday.

Hargreaves hails from Wharton High School in Tampa, Fla. and had over 30 scholarship offers. He committed to Florida following a campus visit on Thursday. He's expected to improve the Gators defense right away in 2013, considering the high praise he's been getting from scouts. SB Nation NCAA Football says that "he does pretty much everything at an elite level" and that he "could start for many BCS programs as a 17-year-old."
