2012 BlogPoll: FSU No. 6, Florida No. 24 In First BlogPoll

The Florida St. Seminoles and the Florida Gators find themselves ranked in the first BlogPoll of the 2012 season, coming in at sixth and 23rd respectively.

The Seminoles jumped over the Michigan Wolverines and the Georgia Bulldogs since the last poll taken over the offseason, and the Gators jumped into the poll after finidng themselves just outside in the Also Receiving Votes category.

The USC Trojans sit in first, leapfrogging LSU and holding off Alabama to take the top spot in the BlogPoll. The Crimson Tide also jumped over LSU to find themselves in second as the defending BCS Champions are just a miniscule 0.13 points per ballot behind the Trojans. LSU dropped to No. 3 after spending the summer at No. 1, mostly due to Tyrann Mathieu's year long suspension due to a violation of team rules.

USF, UCF, FIU and FAU were in the Also Receiving Votes category, with the Miami Hurricanes as the only Florida school without a vote in this week's poll.
