Forward Kuran Iverson has signed with the Memphis Tigers, according to Reggie Rankin of ESPN.com via College Basketball Talk. The 6'8 forward chose to sign with the Tigers rather than the Florida Gators.
Last year under head coach Josh Pastner, the Tigers ranked No. 33 in scoring averaging more than 75 points per game. Iverson does run the floor well and can play above the rim, so he has ample opportunity to thrive at Memphis.
Pastner has already secured commitments from top 100 prospects Nick King and RaShawn "Pookie" Powell, as well as Memphis native Markel Crawford. Pastner is trying to set his team up to be ready when the Tigers join the Big East next season along with the Central Florida Knights, SMU Mustangs, Temple Owls and the Houston Cougars.
