Andre Debose came to Florida as a five-star recruit poised to leave his mark on the Gators before he was finished. As a redshirt junior, Debose has been a disappointment more than anything else.
With his playing time as a receiver already reduced, Debose now could be replaced at the team's top punt returner, according to The Gainesville Sun.
Head coach Will Muschamp said the team must find a way to get the most out of Debose.
"Anybody who is in the coaching profession, there's a key to every kid, and we've got to find that key to motivate any young man, not just Andre," Muschamp said Monday. "Day in, day out, to consistently perform well, to consistently do it the right way. Because, generally, your practice habits carry over to the game."
So far this season, Debose has not recorded a catch and has returned seven punts for 67 yards. He has just 528 receiving yards in his career.
