Florida Marlins president David Samson has just provided us with a perfect example:
↵↵↵"We're going to be drawing 30,000 to 35,000 every single game" in new ballpark. (Clark Spenser, Miami Herald)
↵
I'm not saying it's impossible...just that I'll believe it when I see it.
↵Florida markets aren't easy to predict, but we do know one thing for sure: they don't support mediocre teams, or teams thought to be mediocre. If Samson hopes to approach that high an attendance, the Marlins better be aggressive on the free agent market, compete next season, and work 24/7 on selling season tickets this offseason.
