The Miami Marlins free agent spree continues with the signing of free agent pitcher Mark Buehrle, according to a report by Ken Rosenthal. The Marlins and Buehrle have agreed to a 4-year deal worth $58 million, according to Rosenthal. Buehrle had been persued by multiple teams in free agency, including the Marlins and the Washington Nationals.
The 32-year old left hander has spent all 12 seasons of his MLB career with the Chicago White Sox. For his career, Buehrle has a career win-loss record of 161-119 with 1,396 strike outs. He has started at least 30 games in his career, except his first year in the league when he started just three game. Buehrle joins newly signed short stop Jose Reyes as some marquee signings by the new-look Marlins in free agency.
