Florida Panthers To Hold A Food Drive, Offer Autographs As Incentive

The Florida Panthers are holding a food drive at tomorrow night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and at Monday night's game against the New Jersey Devils.  More after "the jump"

The Florida Panthers Foundation and Feeding South Florida are in cooperation to help needy families put food on the table this holiday season.  The food can be donated at the BankAtlantic Center's jetBlue Tarmac from 90 minutes before the game starts through the end of the first period.  Anyone donating to the cause will receive a 20% discount on all items for sale at Pantherland.

The team is encouraging people to bring cans and non-perishable foods to the games.  Traditionally, items collected in food include: Macaroni & Cheese, canned meats and fish, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, and of course, soup.

An interesting incentive to donate: at least one random fan per game will be awarded a can of Campbell's Soup autographed by Brian Campbell (no relation).  This can of soup would be a great decoration and conversation starter amongst hockey fans.
