Tampa Bay Lightning Give Florida Panthers a Hard Time, Lead 4-0 After Two.

The wheels are coming off for the Florida Panthers as they begin their four game road trip in St. Pete Times Forum.

The Bolts are lighting up goaltender Jacob Markstrom, scoring three goals in the second period on 11 shots. They’re not really challenging Tampa Bay goalie, Mathieu Garon, making only nine fruitless shots on goal during the period.

Tom Pyatt scored on a wrister at the 3:49 mark with an assist by Marc-Andre Bergeron. This was followed two minutes later by Steven Stamkos’ 13th goal of the season with assists from Teddy Purcell and Dana Tyrell.

Ryan Malone tacked on his fifth of the year at the 10:35 mark with an assist by Steven Stamkos.

The Panthers are sleeping standing up, undoubtedly tired from playing last night. Unfortunately, that excuse doesn’t quite hold water as the Lightning were the Cats aforementioned opponent.

Stay tuned to see if the Cats can make a game of it in the third period.
