Panthers Vs. Flyers Score Update: Florida Leads By One After 40 Minutes

After one period at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, the Florida Panthers lead the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1. The Cats jumped out to a two-goal lead early in the second period when Sean Bergenheim scored his 17th goal of the season on a power play score that beat Ilya Bryzgalov.

The Flyers would respond a little over a minute later, when Eric Wellwood ended the Scott Clemennsen shutout with just his fourth goal of the season. Wellwood fired a puck from behind the net that deflected off a Florida defensemen for an extremely flukey goal that cut the lead in half. Florida, however, will start the final period with nearly two minutes on the power play and have a golden chance to push the lead back to two.
