Maryland Vs. Florida State Final: Seminoles Roll The Terps, 41-16

The Florida State Seminoles were coming off a huge victory, blowing out the Duke Blue Devils. FSU was looking to right a sinking ship now that they've entered ACC play and got the ball rolling against Maryland. Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel led the Seminoles on two early touchdown drives to take a 14-0 lead. On the first touchdown, Manual ran the ball in from 7 yards out while on the second touchdown Manual hit wide receiver Kenny Shaw for a 37-yard touchdown.

Manuel ended the day with 264 passing yards, a passing touchdown, and one interception. Freshman running back Devonta Freeman also had an excellent game, rushing for 107 yards on 12 carries, including a 41 yard touchdown run. Wide receiver Bert Reed led the Noles in receiving, catching 5 passes for 76 yards coming off an injury.

Maryland's offense just couldn't get anything going against the Noles defense, rushing the ball for just 57 total yards on the ground. Quarterback C.J. Brown was knocked out of the game in the third quarter on helmet to helmet hit, putting Danny O'Brien in the game, the quarterback Brown replaced a week earlier. O'Brien threw for 180 yards and a late touchdown, but the majority of his yardage was in mop up duty when the game was out of hand.
